TECHNOLOGY
One technology foundation across the development lifecycle.
Our technology can support the path from fundamental research and application development through proof of concept, validation, controlled manufacturing and scale.
MODULAR TECHNOLOGY FOUNDATION
Modular technology for application-driven manufacturing.
We use a modular technology foundation that can be configured around the material, process and application instead of forcing the application into a fixed machine concept.
The platform adapts to the process — not the other way around.Modular platform architecture
A family of modular platform architectures provides different starting points for R&D, development and production-oriented systems. Machine, motion and control architectures can then be configured around the application.
Interchangeable process modules
Material deposition and processing technologies can be combined or exchanged without rebuilding the complete system architecture.
Build & handling
Build platforms, fixtures, rotary motion, substrate handling and application-specific tooling adapt the system to material, geometry and workflow. Customers can also use their own print surfaces or print directly onto existing parts and substrates, including curved and application-specific geometries.
Control architecture
Hardware, software, machine logic and data interfaces are engineered as one system so the process can later be measured, validated and automated.
PROCESS TECHNOLOGIES
Different processes. One engineering environment.
Different deposition and material-processing methods can operate individually or as part of a multi-process manufacturing sequence.
Extrusion & precision dispensing
Hydrogels, bioinks, pastes, viscous materials and other application-specific formulations.
Filament, pellet & granulate processing
Processing of thermoplastic and composite feedstocks in filament, pellet or granulate form, selected according to the material, process and manufacturing requirements.
Multi-material manufacturing
Materials across a broad processing range — from liquids to highly viscous formulations and solid thermoplastic feedstocks — can be combined with multiple process modules and deposition methods within a shared manufacturing architecture.
Laser-assisted & optical processes
Integration of laser-assisted deposition, curing and other optical process steps where required by the application.
Curing & post-processing
UV, thermal or other controlled process steps integrated into the manufacturing sequence.
CONTROL, SENSING & VALIDATION
Make the process measurable.
Measurement, inspection and process data turn an experimental setup into an engineering process that can be understood, controlled and validated.
Process sensing
Temperature, pressure, environment and machine-state information.
Vision & inspection
Cameras, imaging and application-specific inspection.
Process control
Machine logic, motion, process parameters and coordinated control.
Data & traceability
Connecting manufacturing results to the conditions under which they were produced.
Advanced control
AI-supported process monitoring, predictive models and digital-twin interfaces where they provide meaningful process value.
FROM VALIDATED PROCESS TO MANUFACTURING
Engineered for the next step.
Once the process is understood and validated, the focus shifts from proving that it works to engineering how it can be produced repeatedly, controlled and scaled.
Manufacturing architecture
Translate a validated process into a controlled workflow with the equipment, handling, inspection and automation needed for repeatable production.
Quality & regulatory integration
Where relevant, documentation, traceability, quality requirements and regulatory constraints are incorporated into the engineering framework as the solution moves toward real-world manufacturing.
Scale & technology transfer
Increase capacity through replication, parallelisation or automation while preserving the critical process conditions established during development and validation.
PROTECTED TECHNOLOGY & KNOW-HOW
Technology that can be developed — and protected.
Our manufacturing solutions build on patented technologies, proprietary engineering, software and process know-how. The same foundation can also support the creation of new application-specific technology and intellectual property.
Patented technology
A portfolio of patented technologies and protected technology building blocks provides a foundation for new application-specific solutions.
Proprietary engineering & software
System architecture, control, integration, tooling, software and engineering solutions developed through our technology work form an important part of the platform know-how.
Process know-how & new IP
Application development can create new process knowledge, system configurations and inventions. Where relevant, IP strategy is considered together with the technical and commercial path.
ENGINEERING PHILOSOPHYCustom where it matters.
Proven where it doesn't need to be.
We use existing technology wherever it provides the right foundation and engineer new hardware, software, tooling or process technology where the application requires it.
