Brinter AM Technologies at Lignin Workshop 2025

Exploring the Future of Lignin in Sustainable Manufacturing

Brinter AM Technologies is proud to participate in the Lignin Workshop 2025 – “Lignin to X: Challenges and Potential”, hosted by Åbo Akademi University in Turku, Finland, on 20–21 August 2025.

The two-day event will bring together leading researchers, industry innovators, and technology developers to discuss the latest breakthroughs in lignin valorisation, processing, and applications — from catalytic depolymerization to advanced coatings, polymeric materials, and industrial-scale adoption.

With sessions led by top experts from University of British Columbia, Aalto University, KTH, Chalmers University of Technology, UPM, Valmet, and others, the workshop will cover:

  • Novel lignin modification and processing methods
  • Industrial-scale challenges and opportunities
  • Business potential in lignin-based value chains
  • Cutting-edge applications in coatings, composites, emulsions, and biopolymers

Brinter’s Role
Our team will connect with industry and research partners to explore how additive manufacturing can integrate lignin-based materials into bioprinting, pharmaceutical, and industrial applications. As part of our commitment to sustainable materials innovation, we aim to identify pathways to incorporate lignin into advanced manufacturing workflows — bridging the gap between lab-scale breakthroughs and scalable production.

This event aligns with Brinter’s vision of combining modular manufacturing systems with bio-based, renewable materials to deliver next-generation solutions for healthcare, industrial, and consumer applications.

We look forward to engaging in discussions, sharing our insights, and exploring collaboration opportunities to drive lignin-based innovation forward.
